OakleyWeather.com "River Watch"

5/19/08 With the warm weather lately, the spring run-off season is just getting started. There was a log and debris jam today in Kamas that caused some minor flooding at 200 W 200 N. Talking to the Provo River Water Guys working at Beaver Creek and the Canal in Kamas, most thought it is a normal flow for the first run-off of the year and they were not expecting any flooding. They said it will continue for 3 to 4 weeks depending on the weather. There was some TV flood coverage at Bench Creek Rd & the Woodland Bridge.
5/26/08 Very Rainy and Cold weather has slowed the rivers down this week to more of a normal flow.
6/2/08 Even with our above normal snowpack this year the cool weather this month has kept the flows down as the run-off season comes to a close the next few weeks.
6/9/08 We end the spring run-off season with below freezing temps that have kept the rivers at a slower pace this year.
