After more than a year of work Keith Walker has transformed the barely repairable old 1939 Road Island Diner to his personal work of art. His way beyond a normal business venture shows his amazing effort to create every detail from the past life of this old treasure. As you walk in the Diner you feel like your living in that old time atmosphere, but now with new modern dining. The food was real goodhowever there wasn't enough gravy, it was a little dry. when I told them there wasn't enough gravy I was told it would cost me .89 cents I was shocked, but I got it. My friend had the pot roast dinner, he ask for his roll or bread and was told they didn't have any.
We wondered if we had come for breakfast we wouldn;t be able to get toast. I hope they clean up their act. Or they wont make it for long. To bad
You got to love the atmosphere eating in the Old 1939 Road Island Dinner. Personally the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with Green Chilies, Swiss cheese and Cilantro Aoli is my favorite. My friends love their Meatloaf Sandwich on Garlic Toast for Take Out.
I took my family to the diner for breakfast,the food was cold, I found a hair in my food and my daughters food. The place was in need of a good cleaning. I will never go back.
too bad the food is so horrible. i would go there all the time if it was good. why is it so hard to make decent food in kamas valley? dont people get it? just make great food and people will come back!
It's too bad posters do not have the backbone to either ask the waitress to "Fix" their food or at least post their name on the internet. What cowards! 99.9 % of our patrons love the food & atmosphere, Keith Walker Owner
